The house where Amy Winehouse died fetched 3.2 million dollars

The houseAmy Winehouse in Camden Square, where she died of alcohol poisoning in 2011, was sold at auction for $ 3.2 million, according to the BBC.

Five bidders fought for the elegant house with three bedrooms, the starting price was 2.7 million, although the catalog of the auction does not mention the name of Winehouse.

The 27 year old singer was found dead in the interior of this house July 23, 2011, and since then, it has quickly become a gathering place for her fans in mourning, who laid flowers and monuments erected in her memory outside.

Winehouse's family had originally planned to install the headquarters of the Amy Winehouse Foundation, a charity founded in her memory. They finally decided to put on sale in May for $ 4.3 million, but found no takers.

Last month, the same house made headlines again when the wedding dress Winehouse,  wore at her wedding to Blake Fielder-Civil in 2006 was stolen from the premises . The dress was estimated at $ 210,000.

"It's sickening to see someone steal something knowing that it has sentimental value," lamented the father of the singer, Mitch Winehouse .
